Prayer Resources
Prayer is a wonderful invitation to draw closer to God. We learn from our Drawing God book project that everyone sees God differently. That is also true of prayer. Everyone prays differently, regardless of your faith denomination or beliefs, and that is a beautiful gift that we can share with others.
Prayer
During these unsettling times, let’s find strength in the verse James 4:8 : “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” How can your prayers draw you closer to God? What does prayer mean to you? How do you pray? What do your prayers look like?
Follow along as we use the Drawing God book as an opportunity to DRAW prayers in our hearts and also on paper. In the book, Drawing God, Emma turns to God for inspiration as she decides to draw God. When her friends can’t see God in her drawings, what does she do? She PRAYS. Emma turns to God and asks for help.
Drawing God Prayer Placemats
We can pray with Jesus everyday and everywhere—even at the dinner table! Use these placemats as a reminder to continue celebrating the miraculous love story of the Resurrection through every season.
Drawing God Prayer Ribbons
We hope these Drawing God Prayer Ribbons line the railings and hallways in your home, parish, or classroom and serve as a beautiful reminder of how others see God and draw closer to God in prayer.
It's simple, take a blank prayer ribbon and draw or write a prayer. Hang the ribbon someplace special or take it with you on your journey. It's best to use colored pencils or washable Markers.
